I had a stroke while riding my bike in April 05. I lost use
of my right arm and leg. I have had some recovery but I still am unable to work.
I had to sell my bike to pay off the loan on it. If there is anyone out there
that could help a disabled and broke Biker
get back in the wind with a trike or a bike with a side
car, I would be forever grateful. Please

ProgramThe American Motorcycle Association (AMA) now offers free AMA
Roadside Assistance — for members driving motorcycles, cars, trucks or motor
homes — to anyone who signs a new three-year membership commitment with the
organization.
AMA is not requiring new members to enroll in its auto-renewal program, and
the organization's annual fee will remain $39.
"Whether members participate in our auto-renewal program, or if they sign up
for a three-year membership, the result is the same: cost savings for the
AMA," said AMA president and CEO Rob Dingman. "As a member-supported
organization, we are happy to pass those savings back to our members in the
form of one of the most significant member benefits we've offered in our
85-year history: free AMA Roadside Assistance."
Benefits include coverage in all 50 states, plus Puerto Rico and Canada,
for: bikes, cars, pickups, motor homes and trailers registered to the
member, the member's spouse, and dependent children under the age of 24
living at home or away at college; towing up to 35 miles; flat-tire
assistance; emergency fuel delivery; and up to five dispatched service calls
per year. The organization offers toll-free assistance 24 hours a day, 365
days a year, from two national call centers.
In addition, all dispatch and hook-up fees are included, and AMA Roadside
Assistance does not require members to seek reimbursement. The program pays
first. For more information, visit

Motorcycle Builder Pleads No Contest To
Vehicular Homicide - Central Florida News 13 -
BREVARD COUNTY -- After months of delays, a plea deal was accepted by a
judge Tuesday in the case of well-known motorcycle builder Billy Lane.
Under the deal, Lane pleads no contest to vehicular homicide for the 2006
crash in Brevard County that killed Gerald Morelock, 56, who was a park
ranger.
Investigators said Lane was drunk when his truck crashed into Morelock's
Yamaha motorcycle on Sept. 4, 2006.
As part of the plea deal, a drunk driving charge against him was dropped.
Lane now faces about nine years in prison, but his lawyers said they are
going to fight for a lesser sentence.
"Well, certainly I think his charity work and his ability to do that are
things that we're going to ask the court to consider in terms of mitigating
factors," said Greg Eiesenmenger, Lane's attorney.
Sentencing for Lane is set for Aug. 14.

Castalia resident hurt in motorcycle crash -
The Sandusky Register -
A Castalia man whose motorcycle clipped a vehicle on West Bogart Road on
Monday night remains in serious condition at St. Vincent Mercy Medical
Center in Toledo, a hospital spokeswoman said Tuesday.
John Keegan, 48, was driving his 2005 Harley-Davidson Road King west on
Bogart Road just after 8 p.m. Monday when his motorcycle clipped a Ford
Escort that was turning at the intersection of Patten Tract Road, according

Motorcycle Crash Injures Two - WETM 18 Elmira - BIG FLATS
- Two men are lucky to be alive after a motorcycle crash Tuesday night in
Chemung County.
A mangled motorcycle is all that's left after the rider lost control.
Chemung County Sheriff's Deputies say 29 year old Joshua Osgood of Erin was
riding this bike with a group on Chambers Road in Big Flats.
Deputies say he lost control and the motorcycle ended up going into a ditch.
He flipped off, knocking 21 year old Kurt Baker off his bike.
Deputies say Osgood and Baker have non-life threatening injuries tonight.
"If you're on roads that are not familiar, keep within the speed limits.
Take it easy, stay below the speed limit if you're not familiar with the
roads. Unfamiliar with the road seems to be part of the cause here." said
Chemung County Sheriff’s Deputy Scott Smith.
Both riders were transported to Arnot Ogden Medical Center.
Osgood will be ticketed for failing to stay in his designated lane.
Spring Mills man injured in motorcycle crash on
Route 45 - Centre Daily Times -
A 63-year-old Spring Mills man was life-flighted to an area hospital Tuesday
after the motorcycle he was riding crashed with a car on Route 45.
State police trooper Jeffrey Ebeck said at the scene that 23-year- old
Elliot Slack was driving a Mazda Protege westbound when he attempted to pass
another car but struck the eastbound motorcycle with the drivers side of the
car.
"(Slack) didn't realize the motorcycle was there, and hit him," Ebeck said.
The cyclist, Robert Orndorf, slid several feet before his bike stopped up
against a utility pole.
An Amish man who helped Orndirf, said he was talking when he came to his
aid, but he appeared to have a bad foot injury.
Ebeck said it looked like the impact happened just into the passing zone. It
wasn't yet known if any citations would be issued. Slack was being checked
out by medics, but Ebeck said his injuries were probably minor, if any.
