I had a stroke while riding my bike in April 05. I lost use of my right arm and leg. I have had some recovery but I still am unable to work. I had to sell my bike to pay off the loan on it. If there is anyone out there that could help a disabled and broke Biker get back in the wind with a trike or a bike with a side car, I would be forever grateful. Please Email Frank I would like to thank my family, friends, and my Biker brothers and sisters for all the support. Thank you, and God Bless you all. Vancouver man seriously injured in Oregon crash - The Columbian - A Vancouver man suffered what authorities are calling serious injuries when his motorcycle crashed into a car near the Oregon Coast on Saturday.
According to an Oregon State Police bulletin, Danny Eugene Reid, 48, was first taken to Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital in Lincoln City, Ore., and later transferred by ground ambulance to Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland.
State police said the accident occurred at 11:45 a.m. on Oregon Highway 18 about four miles east of its junction with U.S. Highway 101.
Reid’s 2003 Suzuki motorcycle crashed into a 2007 Toyota Camry that was stopped to turn off the highway.
The driver of the Camry, Diana A. Scamarone, 47, of Portland, was not injured. Her three passengers also were not hurt.
Reid was wearing a helmet.
State troopers are continuing their investigation.

Motorcyclist Killed in Collision on Stagecoach Road - Noozhawk - A motorcyclist was killed on Stagecoach Road on Saturday afternoon after the driver drifted into the opposing traffic lane and struck a vehicle, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Jody Powell, 46, of Newbury Park, and a companion were riding motorcycles at approximately 30-40 mph, eastbound on Stagecoach, a little more than a mile east of Paradise Road, CHP Sgt. Deanna Brummett said. Powell accelerated to an undetermined speed and passed his friend on a curve, the motorcycle crossed the painted double yellow lines and drove into the path of a BMW 740, Brummett said. Although the car was traveling at just 10-15 mph, she said the driver, Louis McFadden, 72, of Santa Barbara, was unable to avoid the collision.
Powell was ejected from the 1999 Yamaha motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene by Santa Barbara County firefighters. McFadden and his three passengers were uninjured.
Powell’s friend told officers they had just left Paradise Store, where he said they each drank a couple of beers, Brummett said. Investigating officers discovered two unopened cans of beer in Powell’s backpack. The investigation is continuing.

Motorcycle crash puts 44-year-old in serious condition - The Morning Journal - MARGARETTA TOWNSHIP — A Castilla man was in serious condition at the Toledo St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center yesterday after being thrown from his motorcycle on Maple Avenue. Alcohol and excessive speed are being considered factors in the crash.
Edward Hallier, 44, crashed his 2003 American Iron Horse bike after driving off the left side of the roadway as he was traveling south on Maple Avenue, Lt. Darryl Edge, of the Sandusky Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said. The motorcycle turned onto its left side and ejected Hallier, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Hallier was picked up by family members and driven to the Bellevue Hospital emergency room, where he was able to tell hospital staff he was involved in an accident. He was unable to give any more information, and was LifeFlighted to St. Vincent's around 2 a.m. yesterday, Edge said.
The motorcycle was taken back to Hallier's Tiffin Avenue home and was found to be heavily damaged on the left side. The motorcycle had been pushed into the garage by family members, according to deputies from the Erie County Sheriff's Office.
Troopers are still investigating the accident, and are encouraging anyone with information to call the Sandusky Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol at (419) 625-6565.

Female motorcyclist killed over Fourth of July weekend - Examiner.com - Nicole Gill, 30, of Nashville, was killed on her motorcycle over the Fourth of July weekend.
Gill, a member of the Unexplainable motorcycle club, died Friday night when her Suzuki sport bike allegedly struck an on-coming Pontiac Grand Prix, driven by 19-year-old Keith Otey of La Vergne, Tenn. Otey told officers that he was turning when the light was on a green arrow.
Speed and failure to stop for a red traffic light, according to the metro police department, appear to be contributing factors in the fatal crash on W. Trinity Lane at Brick Church Pike. Another witness reported Gill ran the red light.
Otey, meanwhile, was not injured.
Officers were told Gill was on her way to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville to check on a relative who had been hospitalized.
Amy Burns, who sometimes rode with Gill, said Gill had received a phone call that her brother was not breathing.
“She went to the hospital to see about him,” said Burns, who was still in disbelief.
“It was hard,” Burns said of learning of Gill's death. “ She was always smiling. I couldn’t believe it.
“It makes us want to be more careful riding. It lets us know things can happen to anybody.”
Burns said as soon as she learned of Gill’s accident, she rode to the deadly scene.
“When I got down there, the driver was still in the police car," Burns said. “He was pretty shaken up. He and the passenger. They kept him in the police car for the longest and then let him out.”
Burns said she got a chance to talk to the distraught driver.
“They said when (the accident) happened, they got out of the car and tried to check on her,” Burns said of the driver’s efforts. “It’s bad for a young kid to see. I asked him was he ok. He said ‘no I’m really not.’”
Burns said Gill probably had a lot on her mind if she did run the red light.
“She wasn’t in the right state of mind - trying to get to her brother,” she said.
Kedi Wilson, a club member and friend of Gill’s, said once Gill learned about her brother, she rushed out of the club before anyone could go with her.
“She left before I could get my keys. I was trying to leave with her, but she took off and left by herself.”
Wilson, who described Gill as a peacemaker, had nothing but good things to say about the mother of two children.
“She always tried to keep a smile - not just on her face - but everybody’s face. She always tried to keep things calm.”
Wilson said she wasn’t aware of the details surrounding the wreck.
“I didn’t get the full story of what happened. I don’t know that part of it,” Wilson said of Gill allegedly running a red light.
“We got a phone call stating she had a wreck. She had just left our event.
“It affected me hard. It affected us all hard.”

Officer Paynter, 38, was responding to a police emergency call when the accident occurred. According to Jeff Fulcher, deputy chief of police at the Office of Emergency Management, Paynter had his lights and siren on when the collision happened.

2 Suffolk crashes send 2 motorcyclists to the hospital - Newsday - Two motorcyclists were injured in separate collisions with vehicles yesterday in Suffolk County, police said.
Joseph A. Kuefner, 46, of West Babylon, was thrown onto the street early Saturday when his motorcycle collided with a car in West Babylon.
Kuefner remained in the intensive care unit at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center yesterday with severe head trauma and internal injuries, said hospital spokeswoman Chris Hendriks.
Police said Sean Dolan of 14th Street in West Babylon was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated shortly after the 12:48 a.m. crash. Dolan, 46, was heading south on Straight Path in a 1999 Plymouth sedan. As he was turning left onto 14th Street, he collided with the northbound motorcycle, police said.
In another crash, William Grams, 61, of Hyman Avenue in Bay Shore, was arrested on a felony charge of leaving the scene of an accident in West Islip, police said.
Robert Annunziata Jr., 45, of Bay Shore, was hospitalized at Good Samaritan with internal and head injuries after he was struck about 3:30 a.m. while riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle east on Union Boulevard in West Islip, police said.
Grams' van, traveling in the opposite direction, veered into eastbound traffic, striking Annunziata, police said.
Annunziata was in stable and good condition, Hendriks said.
